Kerlène Volant hopes to become a journalist in the future. She recently received a Bachelor in sociology, media and communication at the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland.
Her internship at the Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research (GFMER) consists in a journalistic approach to the on-going activities of the foundation. Through her work for GFMER, she prepares human-interest stories on the impact of the foundation in different countries by interviewing members of the Foundation. She also contributes to the News Section which is prominent on the GFMER website by including the photo of the week. This section is a selection of photos sent by GFMER members and described in a few words.
Studying sociology and communication has enforced her interest in interacting with people. Her friendly and understanding personality contributes to making human interactions easier and her passion for journalism brings her great satisfaction in reporting on her encounters. Kerlène Volant hopes to bring insight on the importance of GFMER courses for its members, in the advancement of their daily work.
