Dr Agarwal is an anesthesiologist currently working as Associate Professor in Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, New Delhi, India. She did her Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi and pursued post graduation in anesthesiology from Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur, India. She is trained in all superspecialities of anesthesiology like cardiac anesthesia, neuroanesthesia, bariatric anesthesia and interventional pain medicine. She has worked as Assistant Professor in Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi Cantt and experienced the special needs of anesthesia in armed forces.
Dr Agarwal is a medical teacher, academician and researcher with numerous publications as lead author in national and international journals. She has also authored several chapters and edited books on Anesthesiology. Apart from anesthesiology, she has also learnt ethics in medical research and, hospital management and has special interest in healthcare quality management and patient safety. She is a National External Assessor with “National Quality Assurance Standards” which assesses the quality of public healthcare organizations in India.
Dr Agarwal is keenly interested in public health and in promoting Anesthesia and Surgical Care in public health.
