GFMER training course in research methodology, research protocol development and scientific writing 2024: End of course meeting

The Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research (GFMER), in collaboration with the Oxford Maternal & Perinatal Health Institute (OMPHI) and the Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health & Research, World Health Organization (WHO), held a concluding session for the 2024 GFMER online training course in research methodology, research protocol development, and scientific writing. The 8-week course, which ran from September 04 to October 29, 2024, culminated in a reflective end of course meeting held on Zoom on Thursday October 31, 2024.
This year’s course brought together a diverse cohort of 92 participants from 36 countries, supported by a team of 11 coaches from 10 different countries. Participants, coaches and the GFMER team were joined by the three course coordinators, Prof Jane Hirst (University of Oxford UK), Dr Moazzam Ali (World Health Organization), and Dr Karim Abawi (GFMER). The session recorded a peak attendance of 41 and provided a platform for insights and feedback as well as a moment to celebrate the achievements of all involved.
