The maiden edition of the 2024 Training course in child and adolescent health in humanitarian settings organized by the Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research (GFMER) in collaboration with the World Health Organization Regional Office for Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO) commenced on 29 January 2024 with an introduction webinar on Zoom. The course coordinator, Dr Khalid Siddeeg introduced participants to the course and to the effect of emergencies on children and adolescents in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. The peak number of attendees was 122.
