Our team is composed of different physicians and students with different backgrounds and different experiences. Despite this, all of them have in common the interest in the field of cervical cancer research.
Prof. Patrick Petignat, University of Geneva, Switzerland Prof. Patrick Petignat is Head of the Surgical Gynecologic Oncology Unit and Head of the Gynecologic Division at University Hospitals of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland. He has been trained in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Montreal, Canada. His clinical and research interests include innovative cervical cancer screening and HPV-related disease. He has international experience in cervical cancer prevention, providing education and training in low- and medium resourced countries. |

PD Dr. Pierre Vassilakos, University of Geneva and Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research, Switzerland Pierre Vassilakos, MD is former Director of the Center for Cytology, the Swiss School of Cytology, the Geneva Tumor Registry and the Division of Gynecological Pathology, Department of Public Health and University Hospitals, Geneva, Switzerland. The focus of his studies has been the epidemiology and natural history of cervical cancer as well the introduction of new technologies in cervical cancer screening in developed and developing countries. He is currently Lecturer and co investigator in clinical trials for the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Geneva. He is also consultant Pathologist and in charge of the education of Gynecological Pathology and Cytopathology at the Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research (WHO collaborating center) (www.gfmer.ch). |

Milena Alec, University of Geneva Milena Alec is ending her medical studies at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. Her main area of interest involves cervical cancer prevention. She contributed to the graphism and the scientific writing of the website. |

Dr. Caroline Benski, University Hospitals of Geneva, Switzerland Caroline Benski is a resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University Hospitals of Geneva, Switzerland. After graduating from Medical School at the San Raffaele University in Milan, Italy she has done fieldwork and her thesis in Maternal Health on the subject of obstetric fistula in Benin. Currently, she is working at the Saint Damien hospital in Ambanja Madagascar for two projects of Women Health, one on defining and monitoring an antenatal care protocol with mobileHealth and the other on HPV screening and treatment. |

Dr. Adamo Bongoe, Regional hospital Edea, Cameroon Adamo Bongoe is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist trained at The University of Yaounde I Cameroon. He is post-graduated from the same University. He is the head of department of obstetrics and gynaecology of the regional hospital Edea, Cameroon. He also works as part-time teacher in many health training institutions. His areas of interest include cervical cancer screening and treatment, infertility and prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV. He is also fascinated by management of reproductive health programs in developing countries. |
Dr. Rosa Catarino, University Hospitals of Geneva, Switzerland Dr. Rosa Catarino is a Research Resident working in the Gynecologic Division at University Hospitals of Geneva in Switzerland. She completed her medical diploma in the University of Porto in 2012. Her research interests include innovative cervical cancer screening and HPV-related disease. |

Dr. Gabriel Dongui, University Hospitals of Geneva, Switzerland / University Hospital of Yopougon, Abidjan, Ivory Coast Gabriel Dongui is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist trained at Felix Houphouët Boigny University in Abidjan, Côte d’ivoire. He is post-graduated from Geneva Teaching Hospital, Switzerland. He works in the Gynaecologic Unit at University Hospital of Yopougon, Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and currently in Geneva University Hospital, Switzerland, as Researcher. His areas of interest include cervical cancer screening and treatment, and Women and Newborn Health in low-incoming developing countries. He is the project coordinator. |

Dr. Gregory Halle-Ekane, Douala General Hospital / Buea Regional Hospital / Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Buea, Cameroon Gregory Edie Halle Ekane had specialist training in the University of Yaoundé and Geneva Teaching Hospital, Switzerland. He is a practicing Gynecologist in the Douala General and Buea Regional Hospitals. He is currently the vice Dean in charge of Research and Cooperation in the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Buea. He is also the Country’s Coordinator for Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research, Switzerland. He participates in the design and implementation of cervical cancer programs at the local and national levels and conducts research focusing on cervical cancer as well as maternal and perinatal health. |

Dr. Bruno Kenfack, Department of Biomedical Sciences, University of Dschang, Cameroon Bruno Kenfack is an obstetrician gynecologist graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Yaoundé I Cameroon in 2002. After working as consultant for 6 years, he was admitted as lecturer at the University of Dschang situated in the Western Region of Cameroon since 2009. Conjointly, he is the Chief or Reproductive health Unit of Dschang Hospital. As lecturer, researcher and clinician, his research domains are cervical cancer prevention, Family planning and prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV and Hepatitis B. |

Dr. Raluca Anca Negulescu, University Hospitals of Geneva, Switzerland Raluca Anca Negulescu works as a medical doctor in the Gynecology and Obstetrics Division of the University Hospitals of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland. Having obtained her medical degree in Romania she completed her specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Switzerland. Currently, she is a MD student at the University of Geneva with a main interest in the field of cervical cancer prevention in low and medium income countries. |

Dr. Nicole C. Schmidt, University Hospitals of Geneva, Switzerland Dr. Nicole Schmidt works as a medical doctor and scientific researcher in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Hospitals of Geneva. She holds a Master of Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health with a focus in global health. She has worked among others in Kenya and the Dominican Republic. Her current research interests include the access to reproductive health services for migrant women in Geneva but also the improvement of obstetric care in low- and medium resourced countries. |

Prof. Pierre Marie Tebeu, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University Teaching Hospital, Yaoundé, Cameroon Obstetrician & Gynecologist, Public Health Doctor, Health Program Manager, Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Yaoundé, Cameroon. Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Teaching Hospital, Yaoundé, Cameroon. Prof. Pierre Marie Tebeu earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Yaoundé Cameroon, former University Centre of Health Sciences, (1987-1994). After graduation he served as a General Practitioner for 3 years in the District Hospital, Foumban in Western Cameroon (1995-1997). Further training included Fellowship in Cervical Cancer, Obstetric Fistula prevention and surgery. He attended several seminars and Congress. He has research interest in gynecological malignancies, Surgery for urinary incontinence, Obstetric Fistula, and Safe Motherhood. He is co-author of over 80 original publications and books. |

Dr. Eveline Tincho Foguem, Biyem-Assi District Hospital, Yaoundé, Cameroon Eveline Tincho is an obstetrician gynecologist graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Yaoundé I Cameroon in 2013. She worked as a consultant for cervical cancer screening for 2 years in Edea. At the present, she is working as a consultant at the Biyem-Assi District Hospital Yaoundé. Her main research domains are cervical cancer prevention and family planning. |

Dr. Manuela Undurraga Malinverno, University Hospitals of Geneva, Switzerland Manuela Undurraga Malinverno works as a medical doctor in the Surgical Gynecologic Oncology Unit at University Hospitals of Geneva, Switzerland. She was trained in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Montreal, Canada. Her current research interests include genital HPV-related disease and imaging in gynecologic oncology. |
