Dr. Yibeltal Tebekaw Bayou was born on 7 March 1979. He graduated from Alemaya University in 2002 with Bachelor of Science in Public Health and obtained a Master of Science degree in Population Studies (Reproductive Health specialization) from Addis Ababa University in 2009. On March 31, 2015, he graduated from the University of South Africa with Doctor of Literature and Philosophy in Health Studies (PhD). Dr. Yibeltal has been working in different capacities as Public Health Officer, Program Coordinator, and Program Manager in both governmental and non-governmental organizations. He had been also working with the World Health Organization as a Consultant in South Sudan between 2011 and 2014. Currently, he is working with Jhpiego-an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as a Research Advisor of a Maternal and Newborn Health program funded by USAID.
