I used to work as a nurse for about 17 years before I was offered the chance to join the Haramaya University Health Science department to work on my bachelor of public health and graduated in July 2008.
I worked in different rural and urban health institutions as a bedside nurse, public health nurse, head of clinic, etc. after I get my degree in public health professional, I’ve worked as head of health center for two years.
Throughout my career I’ve got different on job trainings and got certification that helped me to improve my knowledge and skill further.
So now I'm working in Gende Kore Health Center under Ministry of Health Dire Dawa Regional Health Bureau in outpatient department, maternal and children health care where I get good opportunity to reach the jobless and low income women who are in need of sexual and reproductive health services. I still want to help many other poor and neglected group of people in Africa.
