Dr. Mahdi Mohamud Sahal was born in Galkacyo-Somalia. He worked with doctors without borders (MSF) as a senior Nurse in between 2007-2010, and as a medical doctor practiced in Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre Karachi, National institute of Cardiovascular Diseases Karachi, National Medical Centre Karachi, Heart Clinic in Madina Hospital Mogadishu, Shaafi Hospital Mogadishu. He is a Cardiology Lecturer for MBBS students, and he also teaches ECG, ECHO, and Ultrasound courses too.
He is the Founder of Somali Patients Healthcare Foundation (SOPACARE), and he is also a researcher at IRP – Interactive Research & Protection. Dr. Mahdi is a Philanthropist too.
Mahdi has successfully researched these below research titles:
- The prevalence of HIV/AIDS in Hodan village in Mogadishu-Somalia in 2015 with (GFMER),
- Frequency of self-medication and drug abuse in general public in 2014 with (DUHS.)
