Florence is midwife with public health background, specialised in sexual and reproductive health from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine UK in September 2012. She holds a post graduate diploma in Community Medicine and Health with credit from the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences Sierra Leone.
She has over 10 years post qualification work experience with Government institutions and NGOs. Currently she holds the position of the Deputy Senior Technical Officer of the Making it Happen Programme, LSTM which works with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation to contribute in increasing the availability and quality of EmONC services by building sustainable local capacity in Sierra Leone. She is also a trainer of the Life Saving Skills in EmONC. Florence has core drive to make a difference in the lives of mothers and neonates. She has a passion for research in sexual and reproductive health and possesses remarkable skills in designing, implementing, facilitating, and monitoring public health and midwifery programmes.
