I am a trainer in the University of Liverpool Life Saving Skills for Emergency obstetric and Newborn Care (LSS in EOC & NC) and also a Principal Investigator (PI) in the international, randomized, double blind, and placebo controlled trial on Tranexamic acid for the treatment of postpartum haemorrhage(WOMAN Trial), which is about to start in my hospital. I am in the last few months of completing an on-line program in Masters in Public Health (MPH) with the University of Liverpool.
Prior to this, I had worked in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria where I did my residency program with the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH). I obtained my FWACS in 2009. Before then I had a brief stint in the Accident and Emergency Department of the same hospital.
I graduated from University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) with an MB BS in 1994 in the top twenty of my class which gave me an automatic position to do my house job with the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu.
I am married with three daughters between the ages of 11 to 5years.
