I was born on 14th January 1973 and graduated from the university of Ilorin medical school in 1997 with an MBBS degree. I went further to do a residency training program in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Ahmadu Bello university hospital, Zaria which I completed in 2009 with FWACS and FMCOG degrees of the west African college of surgeons and national post graduate medical college of Nigeria respectively.

I also have some experience in other fields such as a sexuality leadership development fellowship from the African regional sexuality resource center Lagos, for the, an Advanced Diploma in HIV and sexually Transmitted disease prevention from the college of venereal disease prevention, , Professional postgraduate diploma in Strategic management (with Distinction) from the international academy of management, Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the national teachers institute and am currently pursuing a master’s in public health from the online university of Liverpool. I served as a consultant for paths 2 (partnership for transforming health systems, phase II) during Kaduna’s stats supportive supervision of primary and secondary health facilities in 2009. I am also a PMTCT (prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV) trainer for ICAP (international center for AIDS care and treatment programs) Kaduna.

I currently work at the Shehu Mohammed Kangiwa medical center, Kaduna polytechnic heading the obstetrics and gynaecology section. I am interested in gaining and generating knowledge to improve the quality of women’s health.

I am happily married with four boys.
