Dr. Amgad Farah graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Khartoum College of Medical Sciences and Technology, Khartoum, Sudan. She did her Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Medical Sciences and Technology. Her study and involvement with a number of projects at the university helped develop her passion for reproductive and child health. The projects and initiatives extended via the university focused on using innovative qualitative research, community readiness assessment, critical incident techniques, verbal autopsy, participatory ethnography evaluation research, policy research and so much more to help generate a better understanding of communities with poor reproductive and child health systems.

Dr. Amgad Farah continues to be determined to follow her passion in reproductive and child health and build her capacity to help others by participating in many future projects. One of the current running projects she is involved in is the University- Community Partnership Project in Kassala State, East Sudan. She has also developed an interest in using e-health approaches to improve maternal health in developing countries and is currently in the process of completing a degree in Health informatics from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
