Mrs. Adelakun is a seasoned nurse, midwife and family planner. She has vast experience in reproductive health activities especially among urban poor with great emphasis on family planning. She is also a public health specialist with a major in health informatics. She has contributed to the development and use of telemedicine for health care delivery and especially reproductive health among rural and urban population through data creation, analysis and information dissemination in Ghana. She has attended, participated in and facilitated at trainings, workshops and seminars geared towards advocating for a friendly policy environment for the uptake of family planning information and services. Recent activity has included state level media advocacy for family planning which has contributed to the creation of a budget line for family planning. Currently she is implementing the Futures Institute supported project aimed at building leadership support for urban reproductive health in 6 cities of Nigeria as the programme coordinator. This project is working in line with the one of the objectives of the Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative. Her primary focus is advocacy and reproductive health.
