Dr Alexander Uamai graduated from Medicine from school of medicine, university of Benin, Nigeria in 1991. He later was awarded a postgraduate specialist fellowship by the National postgraduate medical fellowship in 2008.Currently getting enrolled for an MSc in Developmental and Reproductive medicine with the University of Bristol, UK.
Alexander Uamai’s past appointments at the University of Jos teaching hospital include Senior Registrar in obstetrics/gynecology.

Research interests
Dr Alexander Uamai’s main research aim is to integrate research activity in inflammation with human reproductive medicine, focusing on infertility, pregnancy and miscarriage. The major objectives are to elucidate the inflammatory mechanisms involved in the maternal-fetal dialogue across gestation and the impact they have on pregnancy outcome. He is also interested in safe motherhood issues and the role of individual patient health education levels.
