Graduated in the year 2006 as Obstetrician/ Gynaecologist in Cuba, with extra training in laparoscopic surgery in OBGYN, I returned to Ghana to contribute my quota to the maternal health challenge.
It was a challenge indeed in the Upper West Region to face the high maternal mortality ratio conditioned by abject poverty, harmful traditional practices and precarious health system.
In the past three years, i have been in the centre of clinical management of obstetric emergencies, advocacy and training of all categories of health staff in safe motherhood. The results so far are gratifying.
The sad stories of pain and suffering of each and every one of my clients must be put into good use to rally support for the cause of underprivileged women.
Definitely, that cannot be achieved without proper networking, documentation and advocacy skills. I welcome partnerships with individuals or NGOs interested in returning smiles to the faces of women.
It is my wish to become a world class contributor to international reproductive health knowledge base.
