I am Asma Saleh Ali, MD, from Kenya, currently doing a Master in International health focusing on Emergency and Essential care at the University of Parma, Italy.
My main interests are in Pediatric neurology, especially looking into Child Neurodevelopmental abnormalities in relation to Maternal health and pregnancy.
Before coming to Italy, I was working as the Research Manager/Medical officer and as a co-investigator in an ongoing Observational study on Prenatal Exposure and its effects on early child neurobehavioral development disorders in Mombasa, Kenya. Presently, I am working on a proposal on the Benefits of implementing Neonatal Neurosonography as a tool of early diagnosis and follow up of common Neonatal brain pathologies in low resource areas.
