My name is Mona Al Haj Hussain. I'm a pediatrician. I have worked for United Nations Works and Relief Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Middle East for 8 years as Mother and Child Health (MCH) doctor.
After getting my Master, (MSc in Mother and Child Health) in 2003, I joined the United Nations Population Fund as National Programme Officer for Reproductive Health. I have worked for UNFPA for one year and then I moved to The Syrian Commission for Family Affairs, where I worked for it, also for one year, as an Expert in Women's and Children's Issues, and as the Head of Information and Communication Department.
Recently, I got the membership of the Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research (GFMER), and I'm working as an independent Consultant in Mother and Child Health.
