I have a master of Public Health and Epidemiology and Bachelor of Education Science of Kenyatta University, Kenya. I also was a student on the WHO/GFMER course “From Research to Practice Training Course in Sexual and Reproductive Health Research 2011".
I am a public health consultant specialized in public health research in Sexual and Reproductive Health. I have consulted for governments, INGOs, NGOs and private sector in African and Asian regions.
I have managed, evaluated and reported on projects in Primary Health Care, WASH, Livelihoods, Nutrition, Maternal and New Born Health, Reproductive Health and Family Planning and Malaria for various organizations among them Kenya Red Cross Society, Family Health International 360, HelpAge International, Jhpiego Corporation, Nuba Relief Rehabilitation and Development Organisation (NRRDO), South Sudan (South Kordofan State), Save The Children UK etc. In our research, Khasto consultants has embraced Open Data Kit (ODK) which is a free and open-source set of tools to manage mobile data collection solutions. In addition to socio-economic and health surveys with GPS locations and images, we use ODK to create decision support for clinicians and for building multimedia-rich nature mapping tools.
I have worked for 12 years at Teachers Service Commission, Nairobi Kenya as a senior lecturer in biological sciences and public health issues in high schools.
