I am a medical graduate of the class of 2008, from Shandi University Sudan. After my graduation I successfully finished my houseman period in different clinical fields including Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology. Then I joined Sudan Ministry of Health as medical doctor, worked, led planning and coordination at different Hospitals, mainly district hospitals as Umm Bakhita Obst & Gynae Hospital (South Kordofan State – in Dilling locality) and El Fasher Military Hospital (Northern Darfur Sector – in El Fasher).
During my work in community I observed a lot of health problems related to sexual and reproductive health, like the irrational use of contraceptive pills, health consequences of female genital mutilation and sexually transmitted infections, unintended pregnancy and HIV/AIDS. So I decided to join the Reproductive and Child Health Research Unite (RCRU) at University of Medical Sciences and Technology (UMST), for an internship period as a Research Assistant in 2009. On 2012 I became a Research Fellow at (RCRU) where I learned and gained more experience about research methods and reproductive health related problems. I worked as a volunteer medical director at Elbadrain Charity Organization (ECO) Khartoum, Sudan in office and online since 2009.
I finished short local contract period (6 months), with Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health in Najran Maternity and Children Hospital, Department of Obstetric and Gynecology as Resident Obs & Gynae, Health Doctor. On May 2012, I became GFMER member after successful enrolment in the Training Course in Sexual and Reproductive Health Research 2012. I obtained a good training in HIV/AIDS, Reproductive Health, Infection prevention, and Maternal and child health care but I feel still I need to learn more regarding RH issues, because my intention is to produce innovative projects and researches which will not be limited in my country if possible, they will be transferable to the globe especially for countries like Sudan and South Sudan.
