As I like to say, "It is not the disability that defines a person, but how they choose to live with it."

My team and I are always at the heart of putting together meaningful initiatives to support those who need it most.

The PUG-YOLGEMDE association organized, in the Cefise Benaja college located in Goughin, a menstrual hygiene awareness conference for 50 hard-of-hearing students around the theme: "My disability is not a barrier".

This initiative aimed to educate students on the importance of menstrual hygiene, providing them with the knowledge, resources and tools to manage independently, healthy and respectful of this essential reality of health and wellness.

The day consisted of educational sessions, a practical workshop, and the distribution of adapted menstrual kits. These inclusive formats have ensured a clear understanding and accessible to all participants.

Beyond the health aspect, this activity has enrolled in a social inclusion approach, strengthening self-esteem and autonomy of students. She sent them a strong message: their disability is in no way a barrier to their personal growth or their full participation in social life.
