World Diabetes Day in Kashmir, India

The Directorate of Health Services in Kashmir, India organised World Diabetes Day (WDD) on November 14th 2014, to raise awareness of diabetes and its complications.  Dr. SM Kadri, an Epidemiologist in Kashmir, was the event organiser and helped screen over 2000 people for diabetes. In celebration of World Diabetes Day, the historic Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower) was illuminated with blue lights, a color synonymous with diabetes awareness.
