Training of medical doctors/paramedics on high altitude emergency management (acute mountain sickness) for preparedness to deliver the quality care medical services for the pilgrims of Annual Amarnath Ji Yatra 2014 (Annual Religious Pilgrimage). This is because of better trainings of health care workers morbidity and mortality has been drastically reduced since couple of years.
Health care workers were trained at Regional institute of health and family welfare, Kashmir, India (www.facebook.com/rihfwk) under the dynamic leadership of Dr Saleem –ur-Rehman, Director health services, Kashmir, India.
In the pictures health care workers having live demonstration of one man HAPO chamber, which is used to prevent hypoxia at high altitudes (2700 meters/9000 feet).
