International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation, Abuja, Nigeria - Onyinye Edeh

Today we commemorate the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).

Over 200 million girls and women alive today have undergone this life-threatening and demeaning socio-cultural practice. Three million girls are at risk of undergoing FGM each year. Our voices and actions matter in the fight to #EndFGM. Don't be a supporter of FGM. No girl needs to be cut! #BecauseSheMatters.

I am Onyinye Edeh and I stand against female genital mutilation/cutting.

If you are yet to watch my documentary addressing FGM, see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWPR8P1_ebc
