Meet your elected Secretary General of the 50-50 Group Sierra Leone who started as a Fourah Bay college chapter member and later the Deputy Public Relations Officer.

As a young woman leader, I celebrate my strength and all the hurdles I have overcome to be where I am today. Let me use this #IWD23 to thank all those women who have been guiding me every step of the way. These women so believe in my capability that I am forced to do more. For some of us, the glass ceiling no longer exists because we have smashed it since. As we celebrate this day, I want us to know that there is no limit to what we can do. Keep empowering and positioning yourself so that when the opportunity comes it would be a smooth sail. If the opportunity doesn't come, don't wait for the table to turn, just take your chair and put it in a position that is fitting on the table. Let me end this note by telling you that we are not going to achieve Gender equality by begging, no one will give it to us. Happy International Women's Day.
