Poverty, traditional cultural practices, lack of enforcement of existing laws outlawing marriage under the age of 18, and poor awareness of sexual and reproductive health among young people are key factors leading to the high rate of pregnancy among adolescent girls (Save the Children). Despite these barriers, we are at the front line advocating for young people access to family planning commodities/Services while at the same time providing information to enable young people make informed choices about their Sexual and Reproductive Health.
