Hamzehgardeshi Zeinab and Shahhosseini Zohreh (Department of Reproductive Health and Midwifery Counseling, Nasibeh Nursing and Midwifery Faculty, Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, Sari, Iran) work with a Sexual and Reproductive Health team from Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences in doing Evidence Based Family Planning Education with health providers and MSc students in Midwifery Counseling.
The Sexual and Reproductive Health team and MSc students in midwifery counseling of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences held their family health and counseling training course based on Evidence Based Family Planning Journal Club, Sari, Iran, 2014. The emphasis of the Journal Club was on Standard Cochrane Systematic Review such as quality of studies and quality of evidence. Finally, Nominal Group Technique (NGT) was used for evaluating the perspectives of health sciences specialists or informants on the strategies for increasing family health promotion behaviors, healthy reproduction and safe motherhood.
