World Sexual and Reproductive Health Month 2026, Geneva, Switzerland - Fionna Poon

World Sexual and Reproductive Health Month is an opportunity to take a closer look at an area of health that affects everyone, throughout the course of life.

To mark the end of the month, WHO HRP and its partners hosted a screening of the award-winning film Rosa – These Storms, followed by a discussion on celebrating resilience while recognising that resilience alone is not enough. The film highlights how improving health outcomes requires addressing the social, economic and gender inequalities that shape people’s lives.

Dr Pascale Allotey, Director of WHO HRP, emphasised that sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) are fundamental to health, dignity and well-being throughout life. This includes access to information and services related to sexuality, relationships, contraception, abortion, fertility care, pregnancy, childbirth, sexually transmitted infections, and protection from violence.

She also highlighted the importance of bringing together colleagues and partners from WHO headquarters, regions and countries, as well as academia, civil society and communities, to exchange experiences and continue sharing valuable resources.

WHO and HRP also shared the key messages of the campaign, which remain available in multiple languages and can be used in presentations, meetings and advocacy activities:
