Five years ago, I began an incredible journey with UNFPA Rajasthan. Today, as I move to a new role leading UNFPA's work in Madhya Pradesh, I find myself looking back with immense gratitude and a deep sense of fulfilment.
Serving Rajasthan has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my professional journey. When I look at the progress made across sexual and reproductive health, family planning, adolescent health, gender equality, and strengthening health systems, it brings immense satisfaction. While I know that any individual's contribution is only a drop in the ocean, I take pride in having added my small drop to a much larger collective effort that has positively touched countless lives.
None of this would have been possible without an extraordinary team, committed government counterparts, development partners, civil society organisations, and friends who believed in our shared vision. Thank you for your trust, collaboration, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout these years.
I am truly overwhelmed by the affection, warmth, and heartfelt messages I have received over the past few days. They remind me that while projects end and roles change, relationships built with sincerity endure.
Now begins a new chapter.
I am excited to take on a new challenge in Madhya Pradesh—with a new team, new colleagues, new partnerships, and new opportunities to learn, contribute, and make a difference. The geography may have changed, but the mission remains the same: ensuring that every woman, every adolescent, and every young person can exercise their rights and realise their full potential.
As I say goodbye to Rajasthan, I carry with me not just memories but friendships, lessons, and experiences that will stay close to my heart forever.
Here's to new beginnings, renewed purpose, and continuing the journey with the same UNFPA family—just in a different state.
Thank you, Rajasthan. You will always have a special place in my heart.
