My name is Terefe Gelibo Argefa. I was born in 19th of January 1986. Currently, I am a PhD student at University of South Africa, Department of Health studies. I am working at Ethiopian Public Health Institute as Senior Research Advisor seconded by UNOPS/UNICEF –Ethiopia for National Population Based Researches in Ethiopia. I have over eleven years of research and programme evaluation experience in public health and clinical research in Ethiopia. My focus has been on quantitative research and using qualitative and participatory methods for applied research that aims to inform the development of feasible and effective health programmes and policies in Ethiopia. Throughout my work I have provided capacity building and support to researchers involved in designing studies, collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data. I have helped research staff in Ethiopia to identify the most suitable methodological approach for their intended study, and provided both formal training and on-the-job supervision and mentoring during fieldwork, data analysis and interpretation of results for the design or adaptation of programmes and policy responses. Most of my work has examined health inequalities among neglected and vulnerable populations, and assessed the coverage, accessibility and quality of available services in order to improve their relevance to their target audience.
