I was born on 1 March 1987 in Gabiley, Somaliland. Professionally I am a medical doctor (MBBS), recently enrolling in Master of Global Health Scholarship Program for Sub-Saharan African Students at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health ISGlobal. I also have several certificates on Global Health E learning with John Hopkins University, Center for communication program and other online medical educational institutions with certificates. I have worked at multiple posts, local and international health industries as director and consultant/researcher with a wide range of knowledge and experience, as a medical doctor in clinical hospital setting. I have the skill and work experience in health system management and evaluation particularly strengthening management in low-income countries: in the field of water and sanitation, health, education, good governance health, disaster/emergency preparedness & management, HIV/AIDS. I am able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. I have excellent understanding of participatory leadership skills involving managing, developing and motivating teams and partners to achieve objectives. I have adequate ability in analysis and problem solving, negotiation and communication skills. I am flexible, innovative, proactive and hard working; I am a value-driven and self-motivated person, dedicated to maintaining high quality standards and getting things done.

I am currently employed by the Ministry of Health, Somaliland Department of Maternal and Reproductive Health.
