Emily Atuheire holds a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor in Environmental Health Science both from Makerere University, Kampala Uganda. She has over 10 years’ experience in Environmental Health Practice. Emily joined the Public Health Fellowship Program in 2016 and is hosted at the Ministry of Health’s Reproductive Health Division (RHD), Community Health Department. The Division is responsible for policy development and gives oversight to implementation of programs and activities related to sexual, reproductive, adolescent, maternal and child health. At RHD, Emily has enhanced her skills in Applied Epidemiology, Disease surveillance and Outbreak Investigations, Leadership and Management, Communication and Programing for Public Health. Emily is committed to building a career in Public Health surveillance for better maternal and newborn outcomes.
