I was born and raised in Bangka, a small island in Indonesia. I had both of my undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Brawijaya University Malang, East Java. After my graduation as a medical doctor in 2008, I continued specialization in obstetrics and gynecology until 2014.
I spend most of my time as a clinician at Malang Air Force Hospital and Lawang District Hospital. I find many issues in the field of reproductive health that should be prevented at the primary level and must be solved with multisectoral approach. Therefore I decided to study social science as social consultant especially related to my field of obstetrics and gynecology, and have completed recently in 2016.
After my regular working time, I give lectures and training on women reproductive health topics at some universities in Malang. In addition, I also evaluate maternal health programs and give recommendations to address maternal morbidity and mortality problems, this I do in conjunction with the Malang public health office.
With the opportunity of this course, I am looking forward to get better insight for my work. This is the first time I have enrolled in such an international event and I am very excited to be part of this course.
