I was born on the 24th of November 1978 in Elkwit. I graduated from the University of Elimam Elmahdi, Sudan in February 2005 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. I worked as a training officer for the RH Programme in Blue Nile State (Jan 2010 – Oct 2011), and was responsible for planning and implementing development projects with the UN and other development partners; the design, revision and implementation of training curricula; and coordination and partnership-building in addition to monitoring progress in achieving the planned targets. I then worked as a training officer at Jabir-Abualiz Specialized Diabetic Center (Oct 2011 – Dec 2012), where I oversaw the World Diabetes Foundation-funded project on the “Prevention of Major Amputation Among Sudanese Patients”, with the responsibility of improving healthcare providers’ knowledge and skills, and ensuring the diabetic center’s functionality and flow of information.
