I am a trained physician and registered senior public health specialist with the Federal Ministry of Health of Ethiopia. I have over ten years of work experience providing technical assistance and leadership to internationally funded health programs and providing direct clinical services to patients from different walks of life.
Currently, I am working with the International Rescue Committee as a Reproductive Health Program Manager based in Amman, Jordan. Previously, I worked with different national and international organizations in various capacities including managerial, advisory, supervisory and capacity-building roles. I have also attended pertinent trainings on different Health and SRH courses.
I have a strong passion for SRH programs and would like to contribute my share to the global effort by addressing the SRH needs of the population in general, and the vulnerable groups - such as adolescents and young women - in particular. In line with this, I am very confident that the “Training in Sexual and Reproductive Health Research 2013” will significantly complement my own strengths and enthusiasm in the area.
