I graduated from Jimma University as a medical doctor in October 2005, and was awarded a 24,000 Euro Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to study for a Master’s in International Health at Charity University, Berlin and University College London for the year 2010-2011. In September 2012 I started working as a health technical coordinator (international staff) at Relief International, Maban County, Upper Nile State, South Sudan. Prior to this, I worked as a National Migration health physician from January 2012 to September 2012 at an international organization for migration, a medical team leader from April 2011 to November 2011 at Médecins Sans Frontières, as a regional clinical advisor from July 2009 to June 2010 at Johns Hopkins University, and as a medical director and public health officer from June 2006 to June 2009 at the Administration for Refugee and Returnee Affairs.
I like to read, discover new knowledge and learn from other people, and I would like to develop myself in this dynamic world.
