Studies in History, Economy and Political Sciences at the Universities of Tuebingen, Bochum, Goettingen and New York (NYU). He was Fulbright Scholar and has a PHD in Political Sciences. He has gained national and international health consulting experience for more than 20 years, e.g. for the Swiss Foreign Ministry, the World Health Organization and private companies. From 1999-2003 he was a member of the Management Board of Health Promotion Switzerland, a national Swiss funding agency for Public Health.

Mr. Schulte is Professor for Health Management and Head of the Health Competence Center at the Institute of Management, School of Business, University of Applied Sciences Nothwestern Switzerland. He works as an adjunct scientist at the ZHAW School of Applied Psychology Zurich. He focusses on research programs for Workplace Health Promotion, Management Information Systems and training skills. He is director of traf Ltd., a consulting company for health management. In this function, he conducts various prevention and social marketing campaigns as well as integrated care. Currently, Mr. Schulte works as an advisor for the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health and monitors the development, processing and public consultation of Swiss Palliative Care Policy. Finally, he manages a WHO Collaborating Centre for Occupational Health in Switzerland.
