Dr Raymond Chukwuma Okechukwu was born 23 January 1960 and graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1986 with Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) and later obtained a doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D), University of Benin, Benin City in 2006. He also obtained the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka 2014. He is presently enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. He is inducted a Fellow of the West Africa Postgraduate College of Pharmacists (FPCPharm) of the West Africa Postgraduate College of Pharmacy in 2004. His research focus is on patients’ safety and quality and safety in healthcare. Presently he is the focal research person for the centre in the Nigeria PrEP Demonstration Study. He is also a core member of the Adolescents and Youth Health Clinic being developed in the Centre for Community Medicine and Primary Healthcare, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi to acquire relevant training and skills to help drive this youth-focused health programme.
