I was born in 1987 in a little town called Chencha (near Dorze, where international tourists take a visit) which is one of the districts in Gamo Goffa Zone, Southern Ethiopia. I graduated with BSc degree in Public Health from Haramaya University in 2008, the then Alemaya University. I joined my professional career as a graduate assistant in 2008/09 in the University where I learnt. After 3 years of service in the University, I went to my post graduate study in Addis Ababa University (AAU) and obtained MPH in epidemiology from Addis Ababa University in 2013. Currently, I am working in the College of Health and Medical Sciences of Haramaya University as a lecturer. I deliver courses related to my field of specialty including epidemiology, research methodology and biostatistics to under graduate students and advise undergraduate students’ research in the department of public health. I actively engage in university funded research projects and also work as a research consultant for different partners including FHI360-Ethiopia, PSI-Ethiopia, and IFHP (Integrated Family Health Program).
