Habtamu Nega was born and grew in Ethiopia. He graduated with Masters in Public health (MPH) from Hawassa University in 2012. He had an excellent work experience through the real application of public health disease prevention and control programs mostly on RH/ MCH/STI programmatic areas. Generally, Habtamu has been working for more than 12 years as Tutor, research coordinator, Training coordinator, Emergency health officer and Immunization officer at University of Gondar, Family health international (FHI-360I), Intra health international and UNICEF-Ethiopia.
Currently, he is working as field epidemiologist in the global polio Eradication initiative Stop Transmission of Polio (STOP) Program at Lao PDR WHO country office. So he is technically assisting and supporting Lao PDR WHO country office and MOH to improve the surveillance of acute flaccid paralysis (AFP), AFR and other VPDs; Improving EPI program system of the country and assisting with the planning, implementation and monitoring of polio and MR campaigns in Lao PDR.
