Frederick Morfaw is a Clinician, an Obstetrician Gynecologist by training, and a Public Health Physician. He obtained his MD degree from the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (FMBS) University of Yaounde 1 Cameroon in 2005, then proceeded to obtain an MSc in public Health research from the university of Edinburgh UK in 2008. He later obtained a specialist certificate in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the FMBS in 2013. His ambitions are to reduce to zero maternal mortality in Africa, and prevent mother to child transmission of HIV by actively involving the male partners. He is actively working both at a clinical and a public health level. As an Obstetrician Gynaecologist who had worked in the hinterlands of Cameroon, he enthusiastically provides direct medical care to a vast population of pregnant women, thus actively fighting maternal mortality. Within his community, he is a public health champion, actively carrying out health related research, providing health talks and sensitizing his community to take adequate control of their own health.
