My name is Eglal Elamin Elrayah, I hold a Master Degree in Community Medicine,2015, and Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), 2008, from the University of Khartoum, Faculty of Medicine, Sudan. I have also joined the field training program as a Registrar of Community Medicine rotating in different departments of the National Ministry of Health - Sudan in order to attain my MD in Community Medicine. I also work part-time tutor at University of Khartoum, Department of community medicine. After conducting my Master’s thesis research I became more involved in the research domain. I take part in the supervision and evaluation of research projects conducted by undergraduate medical students at the University of Khartoum. I am also a member of Community Medicine Research Unit at the Department of Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum. The main objective of this unit is to spread the proper approach to research conduction among doctors and medical students. I am interested in public health research in general and in maternal and child health research in particular, in addition to community mobilization and development. I volunteered in Federal Ministry of Health -Sudan at the Primary Health Care Department, National Reproductive Health Program, Safe Motherhood Unit as a program officer. I worked as a community mobilizer at CARE International – Sudan immediately after graduation, to help in building the capacity of an urbanized internally displaced population. During my university years I participated in many medical missions targeting rural and remote areas of Sudan to help in provision of health education and free medical services to underprivileged groups specially women and children. I have experience in event planning, good computer skills and ability to work under pressure. I love volunteering, reading, free writing, photographing, music and walking.
