Mr. Alemu was born on 30th March 1985 in Ethiopia. He graduated with Master of Public Health from Gondar University in 2013 and Bachelor of Environmental Health Science from Haramaya University in 2006. He is certified in project management, leadership and management skills. He is actively contributed as members of Rotary Addis Ababa Central Mella Club, Ethiopian Red Cross Society and Public Health Association.

Alemu has more than a decade proven knowledge, skill and experience in leading and managing large scale Public Health and other related programs/projects including baseline surveys, mid-term and final evaluations as a consultant for international and national organizations in Ethiopia. He is a very dedicated, innovative public health researcher with community, teaching and capacity building experiences.

For the last decade he has been managing and directing different public health programs and projects implemented by different international nongovernmental organizations including the World Bank, UNICEF, African Development Bank, DFID, Water Aid Ethiopia and John Snow Inc. Alemu has practical experience in the application of qualitative and quantitative statistical software’s such as EPI Info, STATA, SPSS and other qualitative software’s.

Currently he is working as National Water supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) Consultant for Consolidated World Bank, UNICEF, African Development Bank and DFID funded project for Federal Ministry of Education, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
