I am Dr Dawit Assefa, medical doctor with Masters in Public Health, working currently as HIV/TB and palliative care advisor for the Columbia University - ICAP Ethiopia. I have more than 10 years of experience as clinician in public as well as private health facilities and more than 06 years of experience as public health physician in non-governmental organizations.
I have comprehensive experience in national strategic planning, proposal development (e.g. Global Fund), policy dialogue, curricula and materials development, facilitation skill, research related activities, supervision and clinical mentorship, etc. I am a committed public health professional with accomplished background in managing health programs including Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health programs. I have experience working closely with Ministry Of Health, UN agencies and NGOs.
I am lucky enough to attend the GFMER course 2011 which undoubtedly will enhance my knowledge and skills in the field of sexual and reproductive health.
