I am Saba’atu Elizabeth Danladi, 41 years old from Gombe State, Nigeria. Currently working with Futures group international (Constella) under USAID-TSHIP as the policy and research associate.
I had Diploma in Public Health in 1996 at School of Health Technology Gombe, Bauchi State, Nigeria, during the interview for admission, was considered and offered automatic appointment as environmental health officer on training with Bauchi State government. Upon graduation I started working immediately in 1996 as environmental Health Officer. I rouse to the rank of Assistant Chief Environmental Health Officer. Served as Area health officer t General Hospital Zambuk Gombe State from 1996-1998, and then Team leader and a member State Task Force on Sanitation, Gombe State Environmental Protection Agency (GOSEPA) from 1998 to Jan 2000.
Was the WHO Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) focal person and Disease Surveillance Officer for the State Specialist Hospital Gombe from February 2000 to 2004, was awarded with the best performance award by WHO regional office in 2003.
Also worked with HIV/AIDS control Program (SASCP) from 2004- 2005. Became the M&E Specialist nd Head of M&E, Surveillance, Research & Statistics of the World Bank assisted HIV&AIDS Program Development Project from February 2005 to September 2010. As Policy and Research Associate USAID- Targeted States High Impact Project (TSHIP) from October 2010 to date.
I obtained Advanced Diploma in Public Administration at University of Jos, Nigeria in 2000, Diploma in Computer in 2002, Higher National Diploma in Environmental Health (HND) at the College of Health Technology Zawan, Plateau State, Nigeria in 2006. Also had BSc and Masters Degree (MPA) in public administration at Madison University USA from 2006- 2009. Besides the academic, I also attended numerous professional courses; I have 15 M&E training certificates and 9 several others.
At USAID-TSHIP, I’m now working closely with the Senior Policy Advisor and Senior Operation research Advisor to conduct assessments of the policy environment, coordinate and facilitate policy related advocacy events and meetings, Coordinate and facilitate research activities in the State and Research Policy Initiatives, Analyze quantitative data and prepare advocacy briefs & presentations, Communicate and documents research findings to relevant counterparts, document successful MCH and FP/RH models.
