Honored to have attended the insightful workshop on "Modeling the Spread of Zoonotic Diseases" organized by Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in Dubai earlier this month.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Magdi Mahmoud Mohamed Ali and the Ministry for inviting me and my #MPH students at the University of Birmingham Dubai. Additionally, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Professor Aaron Reeves from RTI International for his invaluable facilitation of the workshop.

The workshop provided deep insights into enhancing the #biosecurity system, focusing on implementing proactive measures to prevent epidemics. It was an honour to be among the distinguished attendees, including leaders from various sectors in UAE, prominent experts, and esteemed colleagues from United Arab Emirates University and Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority ADAFSA.

I am inspired by the collaborative efforts showcased during the workshop and look forward to applying the insights gained to our ongoing research and academic teaching.

We need to work together to enhance #HealthSecurity and prepare for the #NextEpidemic.
