I am a doctor by profession. I graduated in 2009 from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Nigeria. After this I participated in Nigeria’s National Youth Service Corps Scheme in Gombe State, a state in North Eastern Nigeria. I worked in a small health centre as the only doctor in the entire community. I was also the first ever female doctor to work within the community. I led a series of maternal and child health campaigns, community sensitizations against communicable diseases, free health services in hard to reach areas. I thereafter proceeded to get a Master in Public Health degree at Cardiff University Wales, United Kingdom after which I started working at the ART clinic at a Federal Medical Centre where my main responsibilities were provision of antiretroviral services including care and support to HIV positive clients from where I moved to my current organization, centre for integrated health programs, an NGO funded by CDC through PEPFAR where my role involves building the capacities of health care workers and working in collaboration with the state ministry of health to improve the management of HIV/ AIDS in the state. I have a Diploma in Project Management and I’m currently enrolled in an online MBA program at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. I am also enrolled in a Leadership and Management in Health course at the University of Washington.
