I was born on the 15th of September 1989. I hold a Diploma in Midwifery from the Kumasi Nursing and Midwifery Training School. I have undertaken several professional development courses such as

  • a certificate programme in life saving skills in obstetric emergency and newborn care, which was organized by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in partnership with Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and WHO in 2014,
  • clinical training in family planning counseling and contraception provision at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, in 2015,
  • a certificate in helping babies’ breath and essential care for every baby at University of Cape Coast, School of Nursing in partnership with American Academy of Pediatrics, in 2016.

Currently, I am a full-time midwife at the Delivery Suite in the Obstetric and Gyanaecolgy Department at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital. I am in charge of the counseling and guidance section in providing contraception to post-partum women, post miscarriage women and sexually active women. I also participate in the provision of gynecological tests, which includes, Pap smear, endocervical tests, high vaginal swap test and colposcopy at the department.
