I am Kelzang Namgyel, age 26 born in western Bhutan and brought up in eastern Bhutan. I completed my class 12 in 2012 December. Then I enrolled at the Royal Institute of Health Sciences under the Royal University of Bhutan in July 2013 for a two year course in Health Assistantship. Since November 2015, I have been working as a health assistant in Gomdar BHU grade I. My job responsibility mainly focuses on preventive, promotive and curative aspects of health at community level.
In addition I have been working in MCH (Mother and Child Health) unit too. There I take extra responsibility in EPI (Expanded Program on Immunization) as a focal person. We target child immunization to 100% coverage and we have achieved 100% coverage.
