Mrs. Choolwe Nkwemu Jacobs was born on the 21st of April 1976. She graduated from the University of Zambia in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In 2010, she received a New Zealand Aids Scholarship to pursue a Masters in Public Health degree at the University of Otago in New Zealand and graduated in 2012. In 2014, she was awarded an African Union Commission Scholarship for Female Researchers and an African Doctoral Dissertation Research Fellowship (ADDRF) to pursue a PhD at the University of Kwa Zulu Natal in Durban, South Africa.

As a Lecture and PhD candidate, Choolwe Jacobs is actively involved in Sexual and Reproductive Health including Maternal and Newborn Health services research among the remote and rural areas of Zambia. She has also coordinated postgraduate program and supervises the postgraduate students’ dissertations and thesis.
