I joined University of Hargeisa in 2003 and received Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery in 2009. During my internship, I have worked at Hargeisa and Erigavo Hospitals and acted the head of the interns in my area. In late 2010, I have travelled to Uganda and got enrolled at Kampala International University (KIU). In 2013, I have received my Masters in Public Health from KIU. I have worked with Population Services International (PSI) as a research officer for 15 months. I have joined UNFPA in late 2013 as Reproductive Health Officer.

With UNFPA, I usually do the following:

  • Lead the UNFPA Response in Humanitarian Emergencies in Somaliland.
